De Steencirkels van Senegambia vormen ook een werelderfgoedlocatie.
De cirkels bestaan uit tien tot twintig rechtop staande stenen van min of meer dezelfde grootte en hoogte (gemiddeld 2 meter). De stenen zijn van een soort die relatief makkelijk te ontginnen is, maar eens blootgesteld aan de lucht verharden ze.
De doorsnede van de cirkel bedraagt 4 tot 6 meter.
Stone Circles of Senegambia are also a World Heritage Site.
The circles consist of ten to twenty standing stones of more or less the same size and height (average 2 meters). The stones are of a type that is relatively easy to cultivate, but once exposed to the air harden.
The diameter of the circle is 4 to 6 meters.
